The founders of BioLite met due to their common interest in sustainable design. It was in 2008, in the United States, that they launched the BioLite brand and created products aimed at changing the way we light up and consume energy when access to a network is impossible. 

When traveling by van, motorhome or bivouac, BioLite provides autonomous lighting thanks to its portable solar lamps.
