Cadac-Dometic stoves: What are the differences?

Selecting the perfect stove for your needs can sometimes be tricky, especially considering size , ease of use , cost , and considerations for cooking on the go.

• 2 Cook 3 Classic stove: This basic model is lightweight and portable, designed for camping cooking. It has two independent burners with manual ignition and non-slip feet for better stability. It is a reliable and simple choice for outdoor use, ideal for those looking for a versatile stove, easy to transport with an affordable price.

• 2 Cook 3 Pro stove:  This model improves ergonomics with an automatic piezo ignition and a reinforced nylon body for durability. Like the Classic, it comes with pot supports and wind shields, but it also includes knob guards for added safety . It offers a great solution for varied meals thanks to optional smooth or ribbed plates.

• 2 Cook 3 Turbo stove: The Turbo version stands out for its more powerful Turbo burners , which reduce heating time and gas consumption by almost 40%. It also features a thermocouple safety system (FFD), automatically cutting off the gas if the flame goes out, making it safer for both indoor and outdoor use. This model is ideal for adventurers looking for performance and safety.

These three models meet different needs, ranging from simplicity to increased security, depending on your expectations in terms of performance and use.

The 2 Cook 3 Pro Deluxe and 2Cook 3 Turbo Deluxe stoves differ in the additional accessories provided. The "Deluxe" versions are equipped with 3 additional cooking plates :

• The ribbed cooking plate or grill will allow you to grill meat, fish, vegetables, etc. directly on your stove.
• The smooth cooking plate or plancha will allow you to cook crepes, pancakes, eggs, bacon, vegetables, etc. directly on your stove. This plate is very practical because it replaces frying pans.
• The coffee maker and percolator stand allows you will allow you to prepare a delicious hot drink by placing the support on the grills of your stove. You can then place your moka, percolator, cup, etc. directly on your camping stove.

The 2 cooking plates are each equipped with a removable handle allowing the plate to be moved more easily.

First of all, what is a regulator used for?

The regulator guarantees optimal use of your gas bottle in regulating the pressure at its outlet , thus ensuring optimal flow in complete safety.

Regulators are required for Cadac stoves and are sold separately.

It is essential to choose a regulator compatible with the gas bottle you plan to use, because each type of bottle requires a specific regulator.

3 regulators are compatible with Safari Chef LP (Low Pressure) stoves and barbecues:

1. THE  regulator for EN41 7 cartridge allows low pressure appliances to operate with EN417 screw gas cartridges. It easily screws onto a threaded gas cartridge or gas cartridges with 7/16" EN417 universal fitting.
2. THE Campingaz Overflow regulator ( 8515 -OF) allows you to connect your Safari Chef LP barbecue stove to a Campingaz gas bottle (Campingaz type 901 / 904 or 907).
3. THE Universal Overflow regulator ( 8510 -OF) allows low pressure devices to operate through a universal connection with 1/4” left hand external thread fitting.

The gas bottle must be chosen according to your needs .

• The Bayonet Cartridges (SSN-29) (designed for the Safari Chef Compact BBQ Stove only) , are compact and store directly in the grill. Their small size makes them ideal for occasional meals on a road trip.
• Campingaz bottles come in different sizes and are easy to find if you are travelling in France.
• EN417 cartridges  are also available in different sizes and are easy to find in France and abroad.
• Universal bottles​ are large gas bottles, very heavy and not very mobile, therefore not very suitable for converted vehicles (except for those who have made a specific arrangement to power their vehicle with it).

Sometimes a coupler is also required for your gas bottle.

But what exactly is it?

The coupler is a small part that is only used for stoves that require the use of a regulator. It allows you to more easily remove your regulator from the Cadac stove.

When cooking outdoors with a Cadac gas stove, it is essential to have the right accessories to ensure a easy and safe to use .

The Cadac brand offers three types of couplers to meet your gas connection needs: the quick coupling , the quick coupling in elbow , and the pacifier .

1. Quick coupling : The quick coupling allows you to clip and unclip the gas supply hose to the stove. It works with a Push-Pull system. It is only compatible with the CampinGaz Overflow regulator (8515-OF) and the Universal Overflow Regulator (8510-OF) . (Only connects products with a 1/4” European outlet and does not fit the ½ outlet).

   Note: When used with the Safari Chef, the legs of this appliance can no longer be folded.

2. The elbow quick coupling : The quick coupling allows you to clip and unclip the gas supply pipe to the stove. It works with a Push-Pull system. It is only compatible with the CampinGaz Overflow regulator (8515-OF) and the Universal Overflow Regulator (8510-OF) . (Only connects products with a 1/4” European outlet and does not fit the ½ outlet).

   Note: When used with the Safari Chef, the legs of this appliance can no longer be folded.

3. Gas nipple with steering wheel : The gas nipple makes it easier to unscrew the gas pipe thanks to its blue handwheel. It is suitable for 1/4” inch left-hand thread. Remember to use a hose clamp (included with the regulator) to properly tighten the hose around the gas nipple.

• The universal ribbed cooking plate or grill will allow you to grill meat, fish, vegetables, etc. directly on your stove.

• The universal hob smooth or plancha will allow you to cook crepes, pancakes, eggs, bacon, vegetables, etc. directly on your stove. This plate is very practical because it replaces frying pans.

• The universal hob cover : compatible with Cadac hobs, it helps to maintain heat, protects against splashes and allows better control of cooking. Thanks to its heat-resistant handle, it is easy to handle.
